 The new ShortStack™ Model SSK-1 Klystron Power Amplifier from
VertexRSI packs all the features and power you expect in a klystron
power amplifier in a unit that is only 'half-rack' size.
VertexRSI's ShortStack is loaded
with easy-to-use features designed to support Satellite
Communications. Included is a large Surface Acoustic Wave graphical
LCD color touch screen to simplify status monitoring and to receive
commands; an adjustment wheel to allow easy parameter entry, and a
flush-mounted emergency switch located on the main control panel to
remove high voltage. The ShortStack's 'Status at a Glance'
high-resolution metering combines the best features of analog and
digital displays. The operator quickly develops an intuitive picture
for normal operating parameters so only a glance re-affirms that all
operations are at optimum performance.

The ShortStack klystron unit offers
reliable operation and flexible use of standard or MSDC tubes for
manual or fast tuning. The power amplifier uses the Linux operating
system and remote functions are accomplished via TCP/IP which allows
easy access to the screens by the optional remote control panel or
by any computer with the screen package installed.
The ShortStack is the first in a
